Steve Brennan – owner of shuttercraft Southampton - spent the last 23 years working in the window industry before joining shuttercraft in August 2013 as a Window Shutter Surveyor and Installer and has bought with him a vast range of skills, experience and contacts within the window industry. Steve is not afraid of hard work but decided it was time for a change after many years of working very long days and nights away on jobs all around the country fitting windows.
Steve spent 6 months investigating business opportunities before finally deciding that franchising was the route to follow because he could enjoy the flexibility of being his own boss yet benefit from the support network provided and one that is not available to other business set ups like sole traders and private limited companies.
Having come across shuttercraft on one of the leading online franchise directories, Steve compared the franchise opportunity that shuttercraft presents against other franchise opportunities of the same investment level and industry and felt shuttercraft came across as a professional operation that could offer him a rewarding business opportunity while at the same time matching his needs and skills set.
Shuttercraft Southampton launched on the 5th August 2013 and whilst completing his induction training with shuttercraft’s fitters for the John Lewis Partnership, found leads coming into his business from his search engine optimised website and managed Google Pay-Per-Click advertising campaigns. This allowed Steve to book in survey’s and quotes with customers and gain experience of doing so very quickly which has resulted in Steve hitting the ground running.
Steve will be serving a prized territory across the south coast of Hampshire including Southampton, Locks Heath, Fareham and Portsmouth and is very lucky to have his wife helping out with the paperwork and admin side of the business to allow him to concentrate on the day to day running of his business, with full marketing support including press advertising, paid search, website, van signage and promotional flyers being provided by head office to help drive leads into his business.
Through Steve’s experience, skills, hard working mentality and drive to succeed, it promises to be a great year for shuttercraft Southampton.
