Leading International pizza franchise, Papa John’s, has announced it has opened in Belarus. Papa John's is known worldwide for its Better Ingredients, Better Pizza concept and now brings Better Pizza to Belarus for the first time, through the opening of a brand new restaurant in the capital, Minsk.
PJ Western Retail Investments (PJWRI),
with headquarters in Moscow, has the Master development rights to
Belarus. PJWRI, through its subfranchisee, plans to open
two-three more units in Belarus in 2015, and will ultimately open
18 Papa John's in Belarus.
“Established in 1984, the Papa John’s
global franchise has experienced considerable popularity and
growth,” confirms Joe Smith, Vice President, Global Sales &
Development. “We only use hand-made dough, all natural sauce,
fresh ingredients and our signature cheese are all combined to make
a better pizza. We now have over 4,700 restaurants in 38
countries, including over 66 restaurants in Russia, and we are very
proud to add Belarus as our newest country. Since opening in
Minsk in April, sales have exceeded expectations so we know that
the people of Belarus were looking for a better pizza!”
The latest Belarus store opening is
part of Papa John’s strategy of continued European expansion and
