Aged just 22, Ryan Hancock became Optic-Kleer's youngest ever franchisee by starting to trade in Cornwall. Repairing 65 windscreens in his first week, Ryan set a new record within the company, kick-starting his new business in superb fashion. 8 months on, after what must have been a very busy period repairing windscreens, he has taken on a member of staff, has another van on the road and is looking to further expand over the next 6 months.
Ryan says “I had been working as a civil engineer and hadn’t really considered working for myself. I had my windscreen repaired by an Optic-Kleer operator and was so impressed by how professional Drew was and what a good job he made of my windscreen (and the fact that I did not have to pay anything) I decided to make enquiries for myself. As soon as I found out how the franchise worked I knew it was for me. The training and support that I have been given has been unbelievable. I was shown how to set up my business, how to run it successfully and given help with accounting. This made me have such a good start to my business and I am very excited about the successful and secure future I can build for myself”.
Meanwhile, in Skegness and Lincoln, Paul Rawlinson has recently started repairing windscreens having previously owned a successful businesses in the past. The change came after he wanted something fresh, in which he could put his energy and drive into. The ‘light bulb’ moment came after using the services of a local operator, he subsequently made an enquiry about buying a franchise from Optic-Kleer, and recognised that this was the chance he needed. Paul says “It’s all still very new to me but I am enjoying the work and I’m sure I’ve made the right decision. The support from head office is first class“.
Dean Caparn is Optic-Kleer’s latest franchise, who, once he has completed his training, will be ready to start trading in February in the Southampton area. He has also previously been his own boss, working in painting and decorating, but was after a business with more regular income and secure work.
