Colin Bradford, 25, the founder of Magical Maths Franchise, has been named the UK’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the highly prestigious National Entrepreneur Awards.
Colin collected his award on stage at the ICC (International Convention Centre) in Birmingham, in front of around 1200 people. The award was presented by well-known impressionist, Alistair McGowan and the Secret Millionaire’s Raz Razak.
Colin won the award for his work on ‘Magical Maths’ which he runs from his head offices in South Leicestershire. The company are currently recruiting for their 8th full time staff member to join them this year, and are anticipated to create hundreds more part-time or full-time jobs over coming months, thanks to a year of truly phenomenal growth.
Colin, who runs his business with his oldest sister Dr Jenni Bradford, 28, recently impressed judges at the Leicester Mercury Business Awards this April, when his company was one of three finalists in the ‘Sales and Marketing’ award.
Colin was also up for ‘New Marketer of the Year’ at the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s ‘Marketing Excellence Awards’ in February this year, and has won several other national accolades for the Magical Maths business in the last 12 months.
“It was a genuine honour to receive such a prestigious award” Says Colin. “The other finalists were of such an excellent standard that I was privileged just to be nominated.
Magical Maths was officially launched as a franchise at the ‘National Franchise Show’ in February this year, and the results have been stunning. Magical Maths has sold 46 franchise territories up and down the UK, elevating them to one of the fastest growing franchises in the country this year.
