Innovative new home care company Expertise Homecare has sold it's first franchise - Canterbury & District in Kent.
Expertise Homecare, which launched on Monday 1 September, aims to revolutionise the domiciliary care sector by rolling out its progressive care model – which replaces outmoded and impractical processes with state-of-the-art support software and systems – through a network of franchises across the UK.
Ian and Jo Ludlow are the first franchisees to buy into the company’s vision and will begin providing high-quality care to people in Canterbury and the surrounding area by December*.
The couple, who will run Expertise Homecare Canterbury & District in conjunction with their existing business, estate planning specialists LPA Services, said they were keen to get started.
Ian, 61, said: “We have been looking to enter the home care sector for more than a year but have been waiting for the right opportunity – as soon as we heard about Expertise Homecare’s values and care model we knew that opportunity had arrived.
“Our clients have been telling us for some time that there is a real need for high-quality home care that ensures people can keep their independence while also providing their families with peace of mind that their loved one is being well looked after. With Expertise Homecare, we can now deliver this much-needed service.”
Jo, 57, added: “We were really impressed with Expertise Homecare’s passion for improving home care standards and their industry-leading care model, which uses the latest technology, processes and systems to ensure the highest quality of care is always delivered and that families remain connected.
“The Expertise Homecare real time notification system, for example, sends e-mail updates to relatives, giving them the reassurance that their loved one has received the care they require. No other care provider places as much emphasis on building trust and providing the highest standards of support – both for us and the people we will care for.
“We can’t wait to get started.”
Expertise Homecare is owned and operated by care specialists Harriet Smith and Natalie Richards, who have extensive experience in the domiciliary care sector, having worked for both the NHS and private care organisations.
Harriet said: “We are delighted that Ian and Jo have joined Expertise Homecare. Their existing business clients have told them what they want in terms of care – high-quality, reliable care in their own homes – something that in the past has not been readily available

Expertise Homecare is hosting a series of Discovery Days to give potential franchisees more information about the company, its bespoke home care offer and the high-yield territories available across the UK.
