DRIVER HIRE AWAY TO FIRST QUARTER FLYER

Driver Hire, the transport and logistics recruitment franchisor, has got away to a flying start in the first quarter of its new financial year. Its outstanding performance follows what proved to be a record year in 2013/14. At the end of June, after 13 weeks’ trading, over a quarter of its offices are  50% ahead of same time last year. Its network as a whole is 25% ahead.

According to Driver Hire UK’s Managing Director, Jeremy Neale, there’s plenty more to come: “Recently we successfully re-tendered for the business of one of our major national accounts, winning the business against tough opposition. Their busiest period is during the summer, so that’s helping to boost our figures. But this is a great all round performance by the whole of our  network, with customers across the country clearly turning to our franchisees who they regard as quality suppliers they know they can rely on to deliver.

Alongside their core recruitment business, Driver Hire franchisees are also leading suppliers of essential Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) training. Since launching this service, they’ve trained over 73,000 drivers and delivered over 500,000 hours of training. With the deadline for the first round of training now less than two months away, Driver Hire franchisees are experiencing a surge in demand. In fact June proved to be a record month with 5,191 drivers choosing to do their Driver CPC training with Driver Hire.

“These are exciting times for Driver Hire,” Jeremy continues. “I’m expecting a continuation of this outstanding performance as we move into the peak of the summer holiday period which is another key trading period for us. It’s a perfect way to complete the celebrations of our thirtieth year in business.”
