Caremark (Barnsley), a home care provider delivering bespoke care and support to people in South Yorkshire has enrolled Susan Winter, a member of their care team as a Barnsley Council Dementia Champion.
Susan Winter is passionate about care and has expressed a sincere desire to make a difference to people with Dementia. She is mid-way through her learning which has been developed and designed by the Barnsley Authority to improve the quality of care delivered to those living with Dementia, through promoting good practice and raising the level of competencies throughout the Borough.
The programme is a significant commitment and will last for approximately 10 months, a task which Susan is excited to be undertaking. Once completed Susan will be supported to apply her learning and experiences within Caremark (Barnsley) as well as support both colleagues and clients on a practical and ongoing basis within the community.
